Football is a national passion, with the newly renovated Hargeisa Stadium hosting the vibrant Somaliland Regional League, a tournament that unites all six regions of the country in fiercely competitive, peaceful sporting rivalry.
Additionally, the annual Somaliland Marathon has become an international symbol of our safety and openness. Drawing athletes from around the world to run through the streets of Hargeisa, it serves as a powerful instrument of sports diplomacy, proving to the international community that Somaliland is a secure, welcoming, and vibrant nation.
